This week we're exploring anaphora at Dverse. Join us.
This is a great premise well executed. Rings true and utilizes anaphora to its full efficacy.
ReplyDeleteFirst, what a title ~ I like that we are getting creative with our title posts, ha ~
ReplyDeleteLike the refrain and the subtle twist, breathe, breathe ~
Have a good day ~

Nice turn, and I agree, the title is great.
ReplyDeleteha. love the title...and how it even rhymes into the poem a bit...i have to count to like 37...which would make for a very boring poem, me counting that far...ha. tight little piece...and lets face it...they probably deserved it...but good job on the restraint...smiles.
ReplyDeleteThis is so good I think I need to memorize it. Very clever use of the prompt and great photo, too.
ReplyDeletejust a little art imitating life. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks all.
Victoria, I'll be revisiting this device. Impromptu is a real challenge.
This deserves to be spoken aloud, firmly, with good breath. ~ M
ReplyDeletevery cool title - and oh - sometimes the emotions run so high that counting to hundred wouldn't really calm them down - smiles
ReplyDeleteThe art of breathing...does wonders! Well done :-)
ReplyDeleteFantastic poem. I can't count how many times I've done that counting thing, and sure enough it really works. :)
ReplyDeleteThe repetitive 'breathe' line really makes this come alive.
ReplyDeleteWanting to psyche oneself is not that easy. Time and concentration are the essence. You showed it here brilliantly, La Tonya, in just so many words.

Glad to see your blog again. Interestingly enough I was just in the process of commenting on this one on Thursday when it went down.
ReplyDeleteI do think remembering to breathe is very important. I've used it myself when I was in some kind of difficult situation! Enjoyed your anaphora!
