tanka season

the crunch of leaves,
the red kiln expresso spurters
wafts of autumn morn
before an afternoon ball snaps
roar the fans favorite season

    1. Kerry, I love the form. Reading the article made me lonesome for lost work. It's been a long time since I've attempted tanka. Excited to work more at it. Thanks for inviting the professor to share his thoughts.

  10. We've never been a sports watching family...not this one and not my last one but I like the togetherness that it seems to bring people...maybe we'll start watching...we do have two boys that might eventually show an interest...you never know.

I like what you captured in this...it's sharp and present.
