Brian, it was my patio garden. I lived in a ground level apartment with a patio beyond sliding doors facing trees and brush. I lived only yards away from Mickey D's and a parking lot to my left, but when I sat on my patio, it was a cityscape garden paradise. I surrounded myself with mums, tall plants and hanging baskets. Loved it.
Lovely haiku!

DeleteI love those tiny city gardens that seem to take one away from the noise and bustle of the city sidewalk! Beautifully described!
ReplyDeletesimply love the contrast here - the busy image of the city but a little oasis to enjoy some peace with tea! ♥ lovely haiku
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. The photo makes me want to reach for my mug of tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely haiku... and mums can be two things here can't it?
ReplyDeleteEverywhere is room for Chrysanthemums. Even in the concrete of the city.
