Cyberspace: toggling my way across islands in great the white expanse

I tumbled over the side and uneasily tilt upwards
almost always just shy of toppling back over.
Brush my teeth while thinking of new posts
and e-mails and those thank-you notes
I haven’t written yet.
I toggle all day until I arrive home and yeah-
toggle all night till I tumble over sideways,
almost face downward, curl my feet round
each other and toggle in my head
till finally I fall asleep.

  6. Hey! Toggling? In the sequence of tumble, tilt, topple, toggle, it could mean anything, but cyberspace's white expanse clinches it. Was this a riddle poem for dVerse at first? Neat stuff! (Not that I or anyone I know has this problem!)

    1. Ha, I should link it for the riddle. I'm lousy at them. Thanks for pointing out it might fit.

    1. Thank you, Scott. I spend way too much time online, and like we like our homes, I wanted my space to feel right. I'm glad you like it here.

  9. So beautiful and so true...we wear ourselves out and never seem to be totally disconnected. I can so relate to this.

    1. Toggling, do you have multiple screens open? Jumping from site to site? Think man with remote control. lol
