one woman's terrifying and glorious leap off the cliff of midlife
oooh! I really love this tanka, LaTonya. There is something so timeless in the depiction of the moon, each line resonates. Just one small correction: the harvest moon was Marian's challenge, but the tanka was mine. You have a kind of combo going on here :-)
Caught it. lol Made correction. Thanks.
*sigh*
I'm swooning :DSo romantic
awwww.
something secretly sad here...
lost love is sad. Thank you all.
The second line is exquisite ... (my favorite is the second, but all three are so different. Well done.
I love this piece...so romantic and lovely. :)
quite emotional last couple lines there...esp on the heals of the intimacy of tracing the curve and bone...
The dream dried and crushed by morning light, ending is poignant ~ Beautiful tanka ~
Loss of love, dreams unfulfilled... "by autumn's morning light," crushed... this is sad but poignant, LaTonya. Lovely and still has a tear in its eye. Amy
lovely write, left me with a bittersweet feeling
Alas, will the night never linger?Soft to the touch, lined in silk.Tender.What more need be said?Cheers!
