How we are is this
You come in
and shake out an endless morning.
There is coffee on the counter or around the corner
where suits cross legs leaning over laptops.
I dart rather tumble in
but it ‘s okay.
It’s okay in this space-
It’s morning
and it’s lasted all day.
We are gently turning verse.
As a person who loves morning, the notion of something so right that it seems like morning lasting all day is just pretty cool.

ReplyDeleteI've been waking up early in the morning since my surgery and it certainly has its own flavor. Love the phrase, "We are gently turning verse," like pancakes. Sweet one, LaTonya. Amy

ReplyDeleteI would love such mornings.unfortunately mine whooshes past in a haze of mad rush.
ReplyDeleteMy mornings in solitude are often spent this way.
ReplyDeleteNo solitude? Then there are interruptions, breaks, calls, etc. Wished I had tumbled in then.
