poetry friday

When I hear old 70s r&b tunes I remember those clumsy years:
my first bump and grind; nimble bodies trying to coalesce
but only getting twisted.

Oh we were on fire, but like accidental burnings we were everywhere,
raging out of control hormones consuming flesh
but we overlooked each other.

  1. By the 70s still bumping and grinding - well I was no longer out of control. Finally in! During the 60s I was out of control. The again today I am 66. I love that you are always so full of life. Thank you for that.

  5. Yes, the bump and grind at the disco, we were very self-involved, weren't we?
