ascension

his spiral signature adorns my fingers
presence pulses quietly
closer than the air i breathe

intimate conversations
aren't always late night whispers

  1. No they're not. This compact poem says a lot, very appealingly.

  5. Fingerprints are so closely connected to identity, as well as the way we perceive our loved ones through touch. Your lines speak volumes about selfhood.

  7. This stands out - not sure how it related to mirrors- perhaps above my head or experience... still, I imagine when love repeats or near so spiraling close at times our organic chemistry jumps thru time and space into as one poet here commented a Wonderland where we once became part of each other, our earlier time traveling selves, and the chaos sea only to awaken here again or almost the same place.

  8. Thank you, Edgar. I wasn't sure it fit the prompt. I thought it mirrored what I felt reading the prompt.

  10. Symbolic presence means means so much more than the eye can see between lovers.
Just thoughts, reading your lines bring little quivers and shakes.
    I like it a lot, LaTonya. :)

I wanted to let you know that I did get the Linky set up for Things I Learned in June. I hope you'll come see me and decide to play along.
